الدورة الثانية: الاحد 8 و 15 يوليو من الساعة 6:00 حتى 7:30 مساءً

في ورشة خاصة بالعطور العربية يختبر المصمم الفرنسي فاليري لوفيزا، أخصائي العطور والصيدلي الذي يعمل حالياً كمصمم للعطور في دار شيك، هذا التراث، ويركز على عملية الإبتكار العلمي والأذواق والاهتمامات الشخصية.

تنقسم ورشة العمل  الخاصة بالعطورإلى مرحلتين، الأولى نظرية والثانية عملية،  حيث تتيح الفصول النظرية للمشاركين فهم فن تصميم العطور من خلال مناقشات تفاعلية وجلسات لشم الروائح. ونظراً لكونه يركز على خلطة العطر، فإن هذا الفصل النظري سيكون  مدخلاً هاماً للفصل العملي التالي (خلطة العطر) والذي سيتمكن المشاركون من خلاله تحديد الروائح التي تجتذبهم.

أما الفصل الثاني من هذه الورشة المفصلة فسيعمل على تعريف المشاركين بـ 32 نوعاً من المواد الخام والتي سيتم بواسطتها تصميم مجموعة متفرقة من العطور. ومع ختام ورشة العمل، سيكون المشاركون قد صنعوا عينات من العطور المختلفة، ليغادر كل مشترك وبحوزته عينة سعة 30 ملم من عطره الخاص.

تراث العطر (النظرية والتطبيق):

مع الهدف النهائي المتمثل في القدرة على صناعة عطر، سيتم تعريف المشاركين بالتراث العربي في خلطة العطور خلال الجانب النظري من ورشة العمل، وسيقارن المشاركون بين المواد الخام في العصور القديمة مع تلك الموجودة في عالم اليوم، من خلال عرض عينات من الروائح المحلية، ليتمكنوا من تحديد الروائح التي تثير انتباههم، الأمر الذي سيمكنهم من اختيار المواد الخام اللازمة لمزج الزيوت في القسم الثاني من ورشة العمل.

الفصول العملية هي الجانب التالي من ورشة العمل، حيث ستتاح للمشاركين الفرصة لمزج وتصنيع كمية صغيرة من عطر في قارورة باستخدام 32 مادة خام. كلا ورشتي العمل مفتوحتان للجمهور، ولكن ينبغي للمهتمين بالمشاركة الكتابة إلى perfume@moc.gov.bhللتسجيل، أو الاتصال شخصياً بالسيدة فرانسيس ستافورد على هاتف رقم             17001908 . 

حضور الصفوف النظرية سيكون أساسياً لحضور الصفوف العملية، علماً بأن جميع ورش العمل السابق ذكرها سوف تكون باللغة الإنجليزية مع وجود ترجمة.

Perfume Design (Theory and Practical):

SESSION 1: 

 Saturdays: July 7th and July 14th  from 4:30- 6:00

SESSION 2:

Sundays: July 8th and July 15th from 6:00- 7:30

Devised by French perfumer and pharmacist currently working as a perfume designer at Designer Shaik, Valerie Lovisa, Perfume Design examines the perfume heritage of Arabia and reflects on both the scientific creation process as well as personal tastes and interests.

Divided into two emphases, the perfume design workshop will be split into a theoretical component and a practical component. The theoretical class will allow participants to have an understanding of the art of perfume design through interactive discussions and smelling sessions.

As it focuses on fragrance composition, this class provides an important introduction to the practical class (perfume formulation) which follows as participants will be able to define the scents which attract them.

The second class in this custom-designed workshop will introduce participants to 32 raw materials from which individual perfumes will be developed. By the end of the workshop, participants will have manufactured different perfume samples and will leave with a 30ml sample of their own perfume.

Perfume Heritage (Theory and Practical):

With the ultimate objective of creating a roll-on scent, participants will be introduced to the Arabian heritage of perfume formulation in the theoretical component of the workshop. Participants will compare the raw materials of ancient times with those of today's world. By sampling local scents, participants will be able to define the scents which they are drawn to, enabling them to select the raw materials required for the blending of oils in the related second class.

The practical component of the workshop, which follows in a second class, allows participants to formulate and manufacture a small quantity of roll-on perfume from 32 raw materials.
