تستضيف حلبة البحرين الدولية "موطن رياضة السيارات في الشرق الأوسط" الجولة الرابعة من مهرجان السباقات الوطنية وذلك مع نهاية الأسبوع الجاري وتحديدا من 8 حتى 11 فبراير في حلبة الصخير.

وينطلق هذا الحدث لمدة أربعة أيام متواصلة ابتداء من يوم الأربعاء المصادف لـ 8 فبراير 2012 على أن تختتم الفعالية يوم السبت 11 فبراير 2012، وستمتاز هذه الجولة بانطلاق الجولة الرابعة من بطولة سوبر كارز الشرق الأوسط "WGA" إلى جانب الجولة السادسة من منافسات تحدي حلبة البحرين الدولية 2000cc والفعالية الأكثر شعبية في المنطقة والمتمثلة بالجولة الخامسة من بطولة البحرين الوطنية لسباقات السرعة "الدراغ".

وتم تنظيم هذا الحدث من قبل نادي سباقات الحلبة ونادي البحرين للدراغ وكلاهما يندرجان تحت مظلة الإتحاد البحريني لرياضة السيارات بالتعاون مع حلبة البحرين الدولية.

وسيقام كل من سباقي سوبركارز "WGA" وتحدي بطولة حلبة البحرين الدولية 2000cc في يومي الجمعة والسبت 10 و11 فبراير 2012.

كما ستضيء بطولة البحرين لسباقات السرعة سماء الحلبة ليلاً من خلال الجولة الخامسة من البطولة التي تقام هذا العام. حيث ستتواصل الإثارة مع مشاركة أبرز المتسابقين في المنطقة وذلك على مسار الربع الميل من أجل تحقيق أسرع وقت ممكن.

وسوف يشارك المتسابقون يوم الأربعاء في التجارب على أن تقام التصفيات يوم الخميس. وسينطلق سباق بطولة البحرين لسباقات السرعة "الدراغ" يوم الجمعة القادم ومن المتوقع أن تستمر الفعالية حتى الساعات الأولى من صباح السبت وبمشاركة أقوى السيارات والدراجات النارية.

وبعيداً عن أجواء المنافسة والسباقات تقام الفعاليات الترفيهية خارج مسار الحلبة وذلك في المنطقة الترفيهية من أجل استقطاب الجماهير من جميع الأعمار وبالأخص الأطفال من أجل قضاء وقت ممتع والاستمتاع بعطلة نهاية الأسبوع وسط السباقات في الحلبة.

وستباع تذاكر المهرجان بقيمة 7 دنانير بحرينية للكبار و3 دينار ونصف لأقل من 16 سنة وذلك لمنصة الانطلاق، و5 دنانير بحرينيه للصغار و 2 دينار ونصف لأقل من 16 سنة وذلك لمنصة بتلكو وستكون التذكرة صالحة للدخول في جميع الأيام المهرجان ماعدا يوم الاختبار والتجهيز الذي سيصادف يوم الأربعاء وستكون قيمة التذاكر دينارين فقط.

Bahrain International Circuit, ‘The Home of Motorsport in the Middle East’, has lined up an exciting programme of events this coming weekend, with the National Racing Festival taking place from Wednesday to Saturday (February 8 to 11) in Sakhir.

The event is set to feature three of the most popular motor racing championships in the region, including the WGA Supercars Championship Middle East, the BIC 2,000cc Challenge and the Bahrain Drag Racing Championship.

The weekend of thrills has been organised by Circuit Racing Club and the Bahrain Drag Racing Club, both of which fall under the umbrella of the Bahrain Motor Federation, and in cooperation with Bahrain International Circuit.

The WGA Supercars will be holding its fourth round of the 2011/2012 championship; while the 2,000cc Challenge will be staging its sixth and penultimate meeting. The drag racers, on the other hand, will be battling it out in their season finale, with each of the 12 titles for cars and motorbikes up for grabs.

Action in the festival will begin along Bahrain International Circuit’s world-class quarter-mile strip on Wednesday night, when drag racers will be lighting up the evening sky in a ‘Test and Tune’ session. That will help determine the order of qualifying for Thursday evening, during which some of the suspended racing from the previous round will also be taking place. Race day will then follow on Friday.

Meanwhile, action in the WGA Supercars and 2,000cc Challenge will begin from Friday morning with practices, to be followed in the afternoon by qualifying. The races in both series will then take place on Saturday.

All are welcome to attend the festival. To complement the racing, there will be plenty of off-the-track entertainment for the entire family. Children will be able to enjoy many fun activities such as game stalls, bouncy castles and carnival rides; while plenty of food and beverage stands will also be on hand throughout the day.

Tickets for the festival cost BD5 for all days for seats at the Batelco Grandstand. Children aged 16 years old and below will be able to enter for BD2.5. For seating along the Start Line Grandstand, tickets cost BD7 and BD3.5 for kids. Ticketholders can watch all the heated action beginning from the WGA Supercars and 2,000cc Challenge in the morning, up until the drag racing season-finale in the evening.
