انسجاماً مع برنامج عاصمة الثقافة العربية الرامي إلى تسليط الضوء على الحوارات وترجمة الأعمال المتميزة إلى العربية ، تستضيف العاصمة البحرينية المنامة في 30 أبريل القادم الدكتور منير بوشناقي، المدير السابق للمركز الدولي لدراسة صون وترميم الممتلكات الثقافيـة ( ICCROM).

وسيلقي الدكتور بو شناقي الذي كان يشغل كذلك منصب المدير المساعد السابق للثقافة باليونسكو، محاضرة مفتوحة بعنوان: " حماية التراث الثقافي والإدارة من منظور عالمي" في متحف البحرين الوطني.

In continuation of the Capital of Arab Culture's programme of speaking engagements and translation of distinctive work into Arabic, on 30th April, Manama will host Dr Mounir Bouchenaki, former Director of the International Centre for the Study of the Preservation and Restoration of Cultural Property (ICCROM) and former Assistant Director for Culture at UNESCO.

He will give a public talk entitled: 'The Protection of Cultural Heritage and Management from a Global Perspective.'

في 28 أبريل سيتم تدشين مبنى المركز الإقليمي العربي للتراث العالمي تزامناً مع انعقاد الاجتماع الأول لمجلس الادارة، وستقوم وزيرة الثقافة رئيس مجلس ادارة المركز والأعضاء بافتتاح المبنى رسمياً.

وكما نصت عليه الاتفاقية المبرمة بين مملكة البحرين ومنظمة اليونسكو في فبراير 2010 فان قد تم إنشاء المركز الإقليمي العربي للتراث العالمي يهدف لدعم تنفيذ اتفاقية التراث العالمي في الدول العربية وذلك من أجل حماية وحفظ وعرض مواقع التراث الثقافي والطبيعي.

On 28th April, HE Shaikha Mai, the Minister of Culture, will open the Arab Regional Centre for World Heritage, after which its Board of Directors will hold their first meeting.

In line with the February 2010 agreement between the Government of Bahrain and UNESCO, the Arab Regional Centre for World Heritage is established to support the implementation of the World Heritage Convention in the Arab States region with the underlying aim of protecting, conserving and presenting cultural and natural heritage.

برعاية كريمة من صاحبة السمو الملكي الأميرة سبيكة بنت إبراهيم آل خليفة قرينة صاحب الجلالة ملك مملكة البحرين المفدى رئيسة المجلس الأعلى للمرأة يعقد المؤتمر الإقليمي حول عصور ما قبل التاريخ والحضارات المبكرة في المنطقة العربية في المنامة خلال الفترة من 28 أبريل حتى 2 مايو، ويسعى المؤتمر إلى رفع مستوى الوعي حول الحاجة إلى تعزيز البحوث المتعلقة بمواقع ما قبل التاريخ وحماية تلك المواقع، وتضمينها في البرامج الوطنية للتنمية المستدامة.

ستغطي محاور المؤتمر الوضع الراهن لمواقع عصور ما قبل التاريخ والحضارات المبكرة في العالم العربي، بالإضافة إلى التحديات والمعوقات التي تواجه المرتبطة هذه المواقع وسيحضر المؤتمر عدداً من الباحثين والخبراء وصناع القرار في مجال التراث بما في ذلك ممثلو إدارات الآثار في الدول العربية والمتخصصين في مجال عصور ما قبل التاريخ وممثلي المنظمات الاقليمية والعالمية العاملة في هذا المجال.

The regional conference on Prehistory and Early Civilizations in the Arab Region, due to take place between 28th April and 2nd May in Manama, aims to raise awareness of the need for enhanced research on prehistoric sites and promoting the sustainable development of archaeological sites in the Arab world in order to enhance the relevant national development programmes.

The conference will examine the actual status of prehistoric archaeological sites, early civilisations in the Arab world and successfully resolved challenges and problems associated with these sites.

It will be attended by over 300 experts including representatives of archaeology directorates in the Arab countries and specialists in the field of prehistory as well as representatives of international and regional organisations.

المعرض الخيري الثاني لمشروع تدوير النعمة Let it Go second charity event

يسر مشروع تدوير النعمة دعوتكم لحضور معرضه الخيري الثاني في منتزه الأمير خليفة بن سلمان يومي الجمعة و السبت القادمين وتعد هذه الفعالية الثالثة لـمشروع تدوير النعمة بعد النجاح الباهر للمعرض الأول الذي أقيم في جزر أمواج في يناير 2012 و حملة دعم للشعب السوري التي تكللت بالنجاح في شهر فبراير ألماضي.

يتكون المشروع من مجموعة مثابرة من الشباب الطموح لتغيير العادات الاستهلاكية في مجتمعاتنا. حيث أنه مع بداية العام الجديد 2012 قرر الشباب إتباع موجة التغيير بدخولهم في مجال العمل التطوعي. بلغ عدد متطوعي الحملة حوالي أربعين شاب وشابة ولله الحمد العدد في تزايد مستمر مما يعكس حُب الشباب البحريني للتطوع في سبيل رفعة مجتمعهم ووطنهم الغالي.

وتم اختيار اسم "تدوير النعمة" لهذه الحملة إشارة إلى السلوك الاستهلاكي الجديد المراد نشره في المجتمع بغرض تحقيق التكافل الاجتماعي بين مختلف فئات المجتمع.

تقوم الحملة على مبدأ تجميع الحاجات الفائضة (الجديدة أوالمستعملة استعمال بسيط) وإعادة بيعها بأسعار رمزية واستخدام الريع في العمل الخيري، وللجهات المانحة الخيار في الحصول على نسبة مئوية من عائدات هذه الحاجات أو التبرع بجميع العائدات للعمل الخيري. ريع الفعالية سيوجه لدعم اعمال الخير في البحرين ودعم الأفكار والمشاريع الشبابية المبتكرة بشكل أخص.

لقد تم الحصول على عدد كبير من التبرعات العينية لهذا المعرض والتي تشمل: الكتب والملابس بأنواعها واختلاف أعمارها والأجهزة المنزلية والالكترونيات، أثاث، والتحف واللوحات وغيرها الكثير..

سيقام المعرض الخيري لعرض ما تم جمعة من التبرعات يومي السبت والجمعة الموافق تاريخ 27 و 28 ابريل 2012

Let it Go – Bahrain, would like to invite you to attend its second charity event in Prince Khalifa bin Salman Park in Hidd, Bahrain.

The event will take place on the 27^th and 28^th of April after the impressive success of the first event.

This is the third event to be organized by the Let it go charity group.

The first event was held in Tea Club hall in the Lagoon, Amwaj in January, the event managed to raise money for different charities in Bahrain, while the second event was an event to support Syria.

 Collected items that will be sold include: books, clothes, furniture, home appliances, electronics, genuine and vintage antiques, paintings as well as other items all in mint condition.

The proceeds from this event will help uplift the society with an emphasis on young Bahraini entrepreneurs.
The event will take place in Prince Khalifa Bin Salman Park, on the 27^th and 28^th of April, 2012 " Friday and Saturday ".

يعكس تاريخ الملابس التقليدية المتعددة الطبقات التي ترتديها نساء الجزائر العاصمة عن الخليط المتنوع من الحضارات التي تعاقبت على المدينة منذ خمس وعشرين قرنا خلت.

كما ستسلط المحاضرة الضوء على التحولات التي عرفتها الملابس التقليدية المميزة للعاصمة الجزائرية على مدى الثلاث مائة سنة الأخيرة. كما ستتطرق المحاضرة إلى معاني ورموز اللباس المحلي والزينة ومساهمته في نحت الهوية الوطنية.

كما ستناقش خلال هذه المحاضرة أيضا مسألة تحليل ودراسة أعمال مصممي الموضة المعاصرين وعلاقتهم بالتقاليد والتراث والثقافة المحلية.

مدة المحاضرة: ساعة ونصف (90 دقيقية)، نصف ساعة للنقاش.

اللغة: العربية والإنجليزية.

المحاضر: د. ليلي بلقايد، الجزائر، تقوم الأستاذة ليلي بلقايد حاليا  بإعداد البحوث حول التراث الثقافي غير المادي في مجال الأزياء والملابس التقليدية لصالح وزارة الثقافة في الجزائر والمركز الوطني للبحوث الأنثربولوجية والتاريخية بالجزائر العاصمة. وتشغل حاليا منصب أستاذ ومدير برنامج شهادة الماجستير في إدارة المواد الكمالية الراقية بمعهد جنيف لإدارة الأعمال التابع لجامعة العلوم التطبيقية لغرب سويسرا. كما عملت أيضا كأستاذة متخصصة في نظريات الموضة والتصميم، ورئيس قسم تصميم الموضة التابع لجامعة جنيف في الفترة من 2004 إلى 2008. وتعمل الأستاذة ليلي حاليا على إنهاء دراسة حول العلاقات الثقافية بين مهنة تصميم الموضة والتراث التقليدي بهدف تقديمها كأطروحة دكتوراه في الأنثروبولوجيا الثقافية بجامعة ليون الفرنسية. ومن بين البحوث والدراسات التي نشرتها الأستاذة ليلي بلقايد، نذكر أيضا : جزائريات: تاريخ اللباس في حوض البحر الأبيض المتوسط (1998) ، وهي الدراسة الأولى لما بعد الفترة الاستعمارية التي نشرت حول تاريخ اللباس الجزائري وجذوره.

The history of the multilayered traditional costume of Algiers women is the expression of the fusion of diverse civilizations in a twenty-five century city.

The lecture will focus on the transformation of the dress in the Algerian capital throughout the last three hundred years. It will explore the meanings of local clothing and adornment in the construction process of a national identity. It will also analyze the work of contemporary fashion designers and their relation to tradition and local cultural heritage.

Timing: 1.5 hours (90 minutes) and 30 minuet group discussion

Language: Arabic & English

Guest Lecturer: Dr. Leyla Belkaïd, Algeria, Dr. Leyla Belkaïd conducts research on the intangible cultural heritage in the field of traditional dress for the National Center of Anthropological and Historical Research Ministry of Culture of Algeria. She is also Professor and Director of the Master in Luxury Management at the Geneva School of Business Administration, University of Applied Sciences of Western Switzerland. She was previously Professor of Fashion Theory and Head of the Fashion Design Department of the Geneva University of Art and Design from 2004 to 2008. She is completing research on the cultural relationships between fashion design work and traditional heritage for her Ph.D in Cultural Anthropology at the University of Lyon. Among her publications, Algéroises. Histoire d’un costume méditerranéen (1998) is the first postcolonial study published on the history and the ethnography of an Algerian dress.

He worked for Al Safir Newspaper in Lebanon and in 1995 he joined Al Hayat Newspaper and Al Wasat magazine in London where he still works to date.

يركز الكرنفال على تصوير الحياة القديمة من خلال سوق المنامة والشوارع القديمة التي لا تزال تحمل الروح البحرينية وتصور طبيعة الحياة في ممارسات تجارية واجتماعية مفتوحة. حيث تستثمر وزارة الثقافة هذا المشهد اليومي المعتاد وتضفي مجموعة من الفعاليات التي تركز على الصورة والتذكارات الشعبية، في اشتباك بصري مع ذاكرة المكان، وتقدم على مرأى الزوار مجموعة أنشطة حرفية ويدوية تقليدي ومأكولات شعبية. حيث فرص جذب السيّاح خلال الوجود المكثف للأجانب ومحبي التجوال بهدف التعرف على الحضارة والثقافة البحرينية الأصيلة والعريقة مع الاطلاع على نمط الحياة الشعبية البحرينية القديمة من خلال مجموعة من الفعاليات والأنشطة التي تعكس تلك المسارات من خلال نماذج عديدة من بساطة الحياة وتلقائيتها
.

تم اتخاذ شعار (المنامة.. مدينة الفرح) وهي نفسها (المنامة عاصمة الثقافة العربية للعام 2012) وأيضاً (المنامة عاصمة السياحة العربية للعام 2013).

يذكر أن هذه الفعالية شارك فيها عدد من الحرفيين العاملين ضمن مركز الجسرة للحرف اليدوية وكذلك عدد من الجاليات المقيمة في المملكة أبرزها دول أمريكا اللاتينية وأسبانيا وذلك تأكيداً للانفتاح البحريني على الثقافات المختلفة، بالإضافة إلى مشاركة فرقة محمد بن فارس الشعبية بموسيقاها وإيقاعاتها التي تضفي بهجة وسعادة على نفوس كل مرتادي المنطقة.

Under the slogan “Manama, a city of Joy”, the Ministry of Culture in cooperation with Bahrain Chamber of Commerce & Industry, inaugurated the first popular heritage carnival at the iconic Bab Al-Bahrain and old suq. The Ministry of Culture is holding this festival ahead of the upcoming 8th Gulf Air Bahrain Grand Prix, scheduled to be held on April 20, 2012 to April 22, 2012. In the meantime, Carnival Conquest will continue its schedule from 16-30 April, 2012 every day from 4:00 pm - 9:00 pm.

The carnival showcases scenes of traditional Bahraini life, in order to explore this amazing city with all its smells, sounds, architecture, and culture and not to mention the curious multi-cultural society. Walking around the extremely crowded souq, located in the heart of the city, will make you revive the memory of the place. Enjoy looking at all the traditional shops selling all kinds of spices, fabrics, kaftans, thobes, handicrafts, souvenirs, dry fruits, nuts, and any other thing you can imagine, will make you travel through time and space.

The carnival coincides with the Formula One Grand Prix race and aims to attract visitors and tourists to get acquainted with the traditional genuine Bahraini life in a joyful atmosphere. The slogan “Manama, a city of Joy” is another facet of “Manama, as the capital of Arab Culture in 2012” and also “Manama as the Capital of Arab Tourism, 2013”.

It is worth mentioning that many craftsmen from Al Jasra Handicraft Centre participated in this event, in addition to many others invited by foreign embassies hosted by the Kingdom of Bahrain, which reflects the diversity and openness of the Bahraini society. Traditional music groups will be performing at the carnival and the public will certainly enjoy the animation of the daily events through the actual month.
